KMCO Group were instructed by John Henrys/Vodafone to divert all cables from Bedford House which was due to close and re-route to Mercury House the new point of transmission. The works were to prove the existing network, locate any civils issues, for example Blockages and buried chambers, whilst also confirming cable routing and joint locations.

KMCO Group under the contract entailed a number of different works streams which included 24/7 response teams based strategically inside the M25 ring covering this whole area of London/Great London and also in the East Anglia area enabling KMCO Group to provide a 2 Hour Emergency response to any network fault.

On the first tunnel between West Ham and Hackney, KMCO services were awarded the contract from Prysmian for the splicing and termination of all the fibre optic cables that run throughout this vast six kilometre tunnel. These fibre optic cables had specific instructions to carry out individual purposes.
